You know the justice system is broken when: Black men and boys can be executed by law enforcement for playing with toy guns (Crawford) or missed child support payments (Scott) or be sent to prison for consensual sex encounters (Wilson) Black women can go to prison for 5 years for voting illegally (Mason) or for placing their child in a superior school district (McDowell) or get sentenced to 20 years for firing a warning shot in which no one was injured to protect themselves from an abusive spouse (Alexander). But White men and boys can rape an autistic Black boy with a coat hanger (John RK Howard) causing him internal injuries, rape a 19 year old woman outside of a Fraternity house (Jacob Walter Anderson) or sodomize a woman behind a dumpster while she’s passed out (Brock Turner) and receive little or no jail time.
