In TEXAS all the way up to 1970 there were LAUGH buckets on every corner…If a Black person felt the need to laugh or smile they were to stick their head in the bucket…there was no smiling in pulblic….and if a Black person offended a white Man ….he or she was to kiss his feet in public…MY UNCLE Tokey WILFORD ENGLISH jr.reported this to his mother my grandmother while serving in the U.S.Air Force in 1958 he actually used one of the buckets down town San Antonio Texas where the laws are on file.
