Ethiopia está con Kene Tibebu y 19 personas más. 25 de noviembre de 2012 a las 12:29 · Lalibela, The Mysterious Wonder The small town of Lalibela in Ethiopia is home to one of the world’s most astounding sacred sites: eleven rock-hewn churches, each carved entirely out of a single block of granite with its roof at ground level. The church is literally anchored in the earth. This was attributed to King Lalibela who set out to construct and completed it in the 12th century a ‘New Jerusalem’, after Muslim conquests halted Christian pilgrimages to the holy Land. Thousands of Coptic Christians around the world journey each year to see the ancient churches. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. #JerusalemofAfrica #WondersoftheWorld UNESCO: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/18
