BLACK GATEKEEPERS: One of the BIGGEST impediments to Black American progress are the “Black Gatekeepers” within our community. They prevent Black politics from deviating away from the agenda that the Democratic Party has FOR US rather than allowing us to be independent in our politics.
We should be moving back in direction of Dr.King’s economic justice putting pressure on the party to take up reparations. That’s why I think people like Kwame Brown in this moment are important. Regardless of tone or word choice. Regardless of whether you’ve done the research to understand the conversation he is having just know that removing the influence of this group of black careerist gatekeepers is ESSENTIAL for our collective progress in this country. They are herding us in a direction that will keep us trapped between a choice of two evils forever.
