Love it ha ha An American missionary named John Allen Chau (1991/Scottsboro, AL – 2018/North Sentinel Island, Andaman Islands) ignored warnings and Indian law in an attempt to convert the uncontacted Sentinelese islanders to Christianity.
Aware the Sentinelese had killed most outsiders who dared get too close, Chau bribed fishermen to get him near to the islands anyway, canoeing the rest of the way. He made contact, was quickly killed and his body dragged away never to be seen again. India didn’t try to retrieve Chau’s body because it was too dangerous.
